Garrison Keillor is an American author, storyteller, humorist, voice actor, and radio personality. He is best known as the creator of the Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) show A Prairie Home Companion, which aired from 1974 to 2016 to 3.5 million listeners across 700 radio stations. His many books include Lake Wobegon Days, The Book of Guys, Pilgrims: A Wobegon Romance, Guy Noir and the Straight Skinny, and The Keillor Reader. Now in “retirement,” he is the host of the daily program The Writer’s Almanac and the editor of several anthologies of poetry, most recently, Good Poems: American Places. During the show, Mr. Keillor will transport the audience to fond memories of yester-year and highlight the humor of present day, all while reciting his ten favorite limericks and sing four favorite sonnets.
