Swirling with heroic toy soldiers, sword-fighting mice, and the glittering Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, the classic ballet is beautifully presented through the choreography of award-winning Artistic Director Gary Taylor, award-winning set designer Howard Jones, and lighting by award-winning designer Craig Stelzenmueller. The High Point Ballet Land of the Sweets Nutcracker performance is designed especially for children. The show length of approximately one hour and content is tailored for young people’s attention. To add to the experience, everyone is invited to come one hour prior to the performance to meet the Nutcracker characters, have souvenir pictures taken, and participate in themed activities. William Lee Martin: Comedy Stampede Tour
William Lee Martin is a storytelling stand-up comedian who just wants to make you laugh after a long day. He’s a regular at the Grand Ole Opry and the MGM in Las Vegas and has been touring since 1996. During the 2020 pandemic, his following on social media exploded with his positive and upbeat 4 o’clock Daily Talk on Facebook and other platforms. The Texas Original has written and produced three one-hour television comedy specials including Let the Laughter Roll which aired on CMT, plus Standing in the Middle and The Nutcracker: a Christmas Special based on his Vasectomy which are currently streaming on Amazon Prime, Apple TV and the Comedy Dynamics Network. Lately, he has dabbled in acting doing commercials for companies like Uniden and Texas Ag Credit plus look for him in speaking roles in films like the Christian based comedy, W.W.J.R. and the compelling independent film, 300 Salvage. He is a Christian and a comedian but not a Christian comedian. He is relatively clean but is disarmingly clever. (Although it may not be suitable for younger audiences).
